One reason why I have always been fascinated by research is such beautiful photos. Taken with microscopes of any kind and, in the case of electron microscopic (EM) images, also post-colored, since these are black and white for technical reasons.
The Cell Press Picture Show takes us into the microscopic world and presents us with the best pictures from 2014.
